Max Art Pro Canvas Print Review

This is my first canvas print from Max Art Pro. I ordered it as part of an experiment - what online printing company has the best canvases?
I’ll be presenting my findings of my best canvas prints shootout in a few weeks. But for now, I want to do an individual review of the Max Art Pro canvas print I ordered a couple of weeks ago.

In this canvas print review, I’ll give you my thoughts on the image quality and construction of my Max Art Pro canvas. I’ll also give you a little background history of Max Art pro.
Without further ado, let’s get started!

About Max Art Pro

about max art pro image
Max Art Pro, or Max Art Productions, was founded on the principle of offering customers fine art prints and the highest-quality canvas at a reasonable price.
But Max Art Pro isn’t just about canvas. Instead, they offer metal prints, art prints, and acrylic prints, as well as canvas clusters.
Their workshop has state-of-the-art equipment and is staffed by accredited professionals that take their jobs seriously. According to the Max Art Pro “About” page, it’s all about going above and beyond what clients expect and delivering products that are top-notch.

Max Art Pro Hours

Max Art Pro Hours are the usual 2/47 availability for making orders online. You can contact customer support using Max Art Pro’s contact page or by calling 1-855-341-9997. There are no customer service hours listed, though, so whether you get a response immediately or in a few days is a bit of a mystery.

Max Art Pro Products

As mentioned earlier, Max Art Pro has a variety of products other than canvas prints. You can get canvas prints of any size that come with various options of finishes, borders, and frame choices. You can also get canvas clusters if you need to show off multiple images in one display.
Max Art Pro products also include acrylic printsopticrylic printsmetal prints, and traditional paper prints as well.
In each case, there are options for print sizes, hardware for hanging, finishes, and more.
Additionally, Max Art Pro products are handcrafted and assembled in the U.S. and come with a 90-day guarantee that protects you against color issues, cropping mistakes, and image quality.

Max Art Pro Promo Code

There are no promo codes or coupons mentioned on the Max Art Pro website. Searching online for “Max Art Pro promo codes” doesn’t reveal any current coupons or promotions either.

Max Art Pro Return Policy

As noted above, Max Art Pro offers a 90-day guarantee that ensures your print will be corrected if there are problems with colors, image quality, or cropping.
As far as other details regarding the Max Art Pro return policy go, they are scarce. There is nothing on the website (that I found anyway) that explains if the 90-day guarantee means you get a refund, a new print, or something else, like store credit, to take care of the problem.

Max Art Pro Reviews

There are no Max Art Pro reviews on sites like TrustPilot, SiteJabber, or Yelp. In fact, the only Max Art Pro reviews I could find are three reviews on their Facebook page (all of which rate Max Art Pro as 5 out of 5 stars).

Max Art Pro Canvas Print Review

As I mentioned earlier, this is my first canvas from Max Art Pro. I wasn’t completely sure what to expect, but based on the details provided on the Max Art Pro website about the commitment to quality, I was hopeful that my canvas would be awesome.
From an image quality standpoint, the print is pretty good. Some of the colors - the green tones, in particular - are a bit flat. However, there’s nice detail and sharpness that is better than some of the other prints I got of this same image.

On each canvas I ordered, I included a huge signature in the bottom-right corner as a test. I wanted to see which companies would either fix the sizing issue on their own or contact me about the sizing issue.
Unfortunately, Max Art did neither. In fact, they re-centered the photo and the logo is completely missing from the print.

The corners of this print seem really good. The mirroring on the edges is done well too.
However, if you look close in the above image you can see that the canvas is touching the inner part of the stretcher bar, which is technically a no-no. When canvas is stretched on a frame, by design, only the very outermost edge should be in contact with the canvas.

On the back, there’s a nice cover to give the back of it a clean look - which I really like. When you peel back the cover, though, you find that there is no center brace and no corner bracing, which is concerning as those elements help strengthen the frame and prevent sagging. I worry that over time the 12x24 print won’t hold its shape and the canvas won’t remain tight.
There is good staple frequency, though. This will at least prevent the canvas from peeling up and away from the frame on the back.

The mounting hardware is very nice, and is on-center as it should be. It’s also flush with the back, so there’s less worry of the hardware digging into the wall when the print is hung up.
This was one of the most expensive prints I ordered - $110.00 (so $10.00 over budget) plus $23.00 for shipping. The shipping price is the most expensive of any company I ordered a print from, which is weird because Max Art Pro is one of the closest printers to me.
So, pricing and shipping are definite downsides, but on the upside, the print does look nice. Really, the only issues are the missing logo and the lack of bracing on the back. Other than that, it’s mostly minor details that bother me about my Max Art Pro canvas print.
I’ll have more details about this print and the other prints I ordered coming up soon in the $100 canvas print shootout. Stay tuned for that!
