A few weeks back, I had a 14x24 canvas print made by CanvasWorld.
My purchase of this canvas was part of my upcoming best canvas prints shootout - I set a budget of $100, ordered a canvas print of the exact same image from multiple companies, and I will compare the prints head-to-head to see which company comes out on top.
But before I do that, I’m doing an individual canvas print review for each company involved in the shootout. This time, it’s CanvasWorld’s turn.

You can choose from different-sized canvas prints, too, though you can’t get a custom size. For example, I wanted a 12x24 print, but since CanvasWorld products don’t include custom sizes, I had to opt for a 14x24 print.

CanvasWorld reviews are decent, with four out of five stars on Facebook. A detailed review by PhotoWorkout gives CanvasWorld a higher rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.
CanvasWorld Canvas Print Review
I’ll come straight to the point - this is not a good canvas print.
Right off the bat, you can see that the colors are flat. The green tones in the image look a little yellowish to me, and as a result of that, this print lacks the same vibrancy of some of the other prints I ordered from other companies.
I included a giant signature on the image to see which companies would fix the sizing issue on their own or contact me to resolve the problem. CanvasWorld did neither, so the signature bleeds over the edge and the sides. Not a good look!
The canvas itself feels incredibly cheap. In fact, if I press on the canvas with my finger, it leaves an indent.
Part of the problem is that the canvas itself is thin, but an additional problem is a lack of frame support. There is no center bracing or corner bracing. On top of that, the gaps between the staples are far too far apart. This is a recipe for a canvas that feels flimsy and is at risk of losing its shape over time.
On the back, you can see that the miter cuts of the frame are slightly off. However, I will give props to CanvasWorld for having nice, clean cuts on the canvas.
Hanging hardware is included - a sawtooth hanger on the back and a nail to hang it on - though the sawtooth hanger is not centered. Something I really like, though, is that there are rubber bumpers on both of the bottom corners. This is a nice touch to keep the canvas from directly touching the wall.
As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to order a 12x24 print, but without custom sizing available, I had to settle for a 14x24 print. The price breakdown is as follows:
Print: $83 (after a 30% coupon was applied)
Tax: $6.43
Shipping: $14.95
Total: $104.38
So, this print was slightly over my $100 budget. Add to that the fact that this print is so cheaply made, and you have a recipe for a big disappointment!
